What's next for Noema

The roadmap as it stood before launch: MCP support, Apple Intelligence integration and more local capabilities.

ArchivedPublished in August 2025, before launch, this post reflects plans at the time. See the release notes for what shipped.

A look at our roadmap and the features we plan to bring to Noema after launch, including cloud MCP support, Apple Intelligence integration and more local AI capabilities.

The journey ahead

Our September 19 launch is a milestone, but it is only the beginning. We have been working on a roadmap that pushes what is possible with local AI while keeping our commitment to privacy and user control.

We want Noema to be more than a chat app: an assistant that fits into your digital life, helps you get work done and respects your privacy at every step.

Cloud MCP support

One of our most anticipated features is support for MCP (Model Context Protocol), which will change how Noema connects with external services while keeping your data private. MCP support will let Noema:

  • Connect securely with cloud services and APIs.
  • Access current data while keeping your queries private.
  • Work with productivity tools such as calendars, note-taking apps and project management platforms.

MCP fits our privacy-first approach: your personal data and conversations stay on device, and only the query parameters a service needs are sent to it.

Apple Intelligence integration

We are working toward closer integration with Apple Intelligence, connecting Noema's local AI with the native intelligence features in iOS, macOS and visionOS. The goal is for Noema to feel like a natural part of your Apple devices rather than a separate app competing for attention.

A better experience

  • Advanced memory: persistent conversation memory that learns your preferences over time.
  • Workflow automation: create and share AI-powered workflows for repetitive tasks.

Platform expansion

We are expanding Noema beyond iPhone so private AI works the same across your Apple hardware:

  • A native macOS app with full system integration.
  • A visionOS experience designed for Apple Vision Pro.
  • An iPad interface built for multitasking.

Community and ecosystem

  • A model marketplace for community-shared fine-tuned models.
  • A sharing platform for AI workflow recipes.
  • Developer APIs for third-party integrations and custom tools.
