At Noema, your privacy is absolute. We are committed to a zero-data-collection approach where everything happens locally on your device. This Privacy Policy explains our approach to complete data privacy and the limited circumstances where internet access may be required.
Noema collects absolutely no data whatsoever. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information, usage data, analytics, or any other form of data from your use of the application.
Everything you do within Noema happens entirely on your device. Your conversations, documents, preferences, and all other data remain completely private and local to your device.
Nothing you do in the app can be seen by Noema developers, Apple, or any third party at any time. We have no access to your data because it never leaves your device.
Noema no longer tracks usage counters. We do not maintain local or remote records of how often you search because every feature is included without limits.
We operate a private, no-log SearxNG metasearch instance to provide web results. When you run a web search in the app, only the generated query and essential technical parameters are sent to our SearxNG relay. Requests are proxied through infrastructure we control so external providers never see your IP or any identifiers tied to you.
Our SearxNG deployment is configured to discard query data immediately after fulfilling the request. We do not retain logs, we do not attach tokens or identifiers, and there are no per-user or per-plan quotas. Because SearxNG is open-source and leverages free upstream indexes, we can offer unlimited searches at no cost.
Results return to your device through the same relay and are processed locally for summarization. If we ever make architectural changes or add new providers, we will update this section to describe what changes and why.
This app uses Meta (Facebook) tools to measure app installs and the performance of advertising campaigns. No personally identifiable information is shared in this process, and Meta does not receive your conversations, documents, or other personal data from Noema.
Beyond this limited attribution signal, Noema does not use tracking technologies, cookies, analytics, or telemetry. There are no additional third-party services integrated into the app that could compromise your privacy.
Because we do not collect personal data, there is nothing for us to retain. The app stores only the models, documents, and settings you explicitly download, all of which live locally within iOS storage. You may delete the app at any time to remove that data from your device.
Since we do not collect any data, there is no data to share, sell, or disclose to anyone under any circumstances. Your information remains entirely under your control.
Any changes to this Privacy Policy will be clearly communicated. However, our core commitment to zero data collection will never change. We may update this policy if features change or if we introduce server-side processing in the future. Any material changes will be reflected here.
