Noema Atlas
Download open model weights from many sources at once, with every byte verified. Atlas keeps local models available without depending on a single host.
The system
One verified identity for every copy.
Atlas treats each source as a route, not a source of truth. A signed manifest describes the file, its content hash establishes its identity, and every verified source can contribute to the same download.
Hugging Face can be fast, a nearby peer can be faster, and a mirror can survive an outage. Atlas uses what is available and produces the same verified file.
Verified files
BLAKE3 and SHA-256 content hashes identify every file. Ed25519-signed manifests catch corruption or tampering while bytes stream in, and a source that serves bad data is set aside.
Many sources, one file
Hugging Face, HTTPS mirrors, peers on your network and peers worldwide resolve to one verified file, with automatic failover between sources.
Deduplicated storage
Identical files across quantizations, mirrors and sources are stored once in a content-addressed cache. Installs use a reflink or hard link where the filesystem allows.
Native and lightweight
A low-memory desktop app for macOS, Windows and Linux, and a command line for servers and scripted setups.
The network
Peer-to-peer distribution.
Peers announce the content they hold to a shared tracker. Transfers between machines run over Iroh, a QUIC transport that connects machines directly across NAT boundaries. When several peers hold a model, Atlas pulls pieces from all of them at once.
Openly licensed models you download are shared back by default. Gated downloads and files you import privately stay on your machine unless you choose to share them.

Prebuilt installers for macOS, Windows and Linux are attached to each GitHub release. The source, the manifest format and the security model are documented in the repository.
